BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Raleigh County record shop Vinyl Tracks has announced the permanent closure of its Uptown Beckley location.
The establishment offered a selection of physical music media, including CDs, cassettes, and of course vinyl records.
Also available were vinyl accessories, merchandise, and the shop’s event venue, Side Tracks.
”It is with a heavy heart that we announce our closure. We had so much fun decorating the store and getting it ready for all of our wonderful customers,” read the announcement on Wednesday. “The past year brought in some amazing people that we absolutely loved meeting and having shop in our store. However, the time has come for Vinyl Tracks to close its doors and move on. Thank you, Beckley, for such an [amazing] year.”
No distinct reason was provided for the sudden closure, although a lack of foot traffic and a general economic climate non-conducive to small businesses in the uptown area were cited as contributing factors.
