MASON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A driver was injured after a tractor-trailer crash Wednesday in Mason County, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Trooper First Class Stewart responded to reports of the crash around the 1200 block of Graham Station Road in the Letart area.
Investigators said Dennis Busman, 50, of Troy, was driving a semi-truck northbound on Graham Station Road when he entered a right-hand turn and was unable to negotiate the curve.
The truck went through a guardrail, over an embankment and rolled onto its top in a river overflow area.
Busman became trapped inside the vehicle and was later extricated by firefighters.
He was flown to CAMC General Hospital in Charleston, where he was treated for broken ribs.
Authorities said Busman was charged with failure to maintain control. The West Virginia Department of Transportation will further inspect the tractor-trailer.
The crash remains under investigation.
