PUTNAM COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An early morning fire completely engulfed an unoccupied home on Teays Valley Road on Sunday.
According to the Nitro Fire Department, the blaze was first reported around 3 AM, with units from the Teays Valley Fire Department and Hurricane Fire & Rescue being the initial responders.
Upon arrival, they found the dwelling fully involved in flames.
Nitro Station 80, Ladder 861, and PIO 840 provided mutual aid in battling the fire.
Additional support came from Winfield Fire & Rescue, Putnam County EMS, and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
