BOOMER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One person is dead after an early morning fire in Boomer. Sheriff Mike Fridley provides the following information regarding this incident.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. on January 31, 2024, Â notification of a residential fire on Boomer Loop was made to the Fayette County 911 center. Â Fire Departments arrived and determined that a male subject may have still been in the house. Firefighters located a male in the residence, but unfortunately, he was deceased.
Members of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department’s Detective Bureau and the West Virginia Fire Marshals Office were on scene investigating throughout the morning hours. This incident remains under investigation.
