OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Fayette County Delegate Elliott Pritt (R) has been re-elected to a second term in the House of Delegates.
Pritt defeated two challengers in the 50th District fending off Democratic opponent Jerry L. Allen and Independent Scotty Bowman.
Pritt was elected to the House in 2022 as a Democrat defeating incumbent Republican Delegate Austin Haynes.
Pritt changed his party affiliation to Republican in April of 2023 and says he is proud of the things he and the legislature have been able to accomplish in the last two years.
“I have worked so hard for the people that I represent, and I am humbled that they have voted to put their trust in me to do the right thing for them and their families,” Pritt said.
Pritt says he is appreciative of the support he’s received in this race and that he is ready to continue working for his district.
“I could never have done this without the support of those who have voted for me and given me words of encouragement along the way. Most of all, I want to thank my wife and my family for ALWAYS standing by my side–even when things were rough and things were nasty. I love you all.”
The 50th Delegate District consists of part of Fayette County including the communities of Oak Hill, Thurmond, Minden, Page, Deepwater, Powellton, and Smithers.
