Mrs. Townley was retired from Hill’s Department Store. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, yardwork, flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Geneva Sheppard, Betty Shrader, Aulberine Delp, Jenny Hambrick and Nina Basham; and nine brothers, Pete Shrader, Virgil Shrader, Arnold Shrader, Bud Shrader, Fred Shrader, Billy Shrader, Melvin Shrader, Larry Shrader and Cecil Shrader.
Survivors include one sister, Garnet Basham of Princeton; three children, Darlene Ellis and husband Tony of Roanoke, Randy Townley and wife Reta of Bluefield and Bobbie Tabor and husband Larry of Princeton; and seven grandchildren, Tracy Saunders and wife Traci, Jason Saunders and wife Cheri, Michelle Dudley and husband Derrick, James Townley, Randa Bailey and husband Tom, Adam Tabor and MacKenzie Tabor; and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Gary Raulerson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton.
