HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – ZMM Architects and Engineers has announced that it will be establishing an endowed scholarship fund by way of a $120,000 contribution to the Marshall University Foundation in support of West Virginia engineering students.
The scholarship fund has been designed with the aim of alleviating the financial burden for aspiring engineers from throughout the Mountain State and to encourage a greater number of students to actively pursue disciplines in the engineering field. The initiative, it is said, will assist in nurturing local talent and providing support for the workforce development of the state in the face of a steadily increasing demand for engineers.
“We are proud to invest in future engineers through this scholarship and support [Marshall University] President [Brad] Smith’s vision of ‘Marshall for All.’ This helps us alleviate financial burdens for West Virginia students and foster a new generation of skilled professionals who will contribute to the industry and the region’s growth,” said principal and architect for ZMM Architects and Engineers. “Creating this scholarship at Marshall University is a testament to our commitment to education and workforce development. We believe that what we do at ZMM is more than architecture, it’s about building a legacy.”
Marshall University President, Brad Smith was similarly enthusiastic with regard to the collaboration, making note of the commitment of the partnership through the endowed scholarship to fostering future leaders.
