CHARLESTON, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – The Fun Fitness Foundation, a non-profit organization in Charleston that works to curb the state’s obesity rate by creating fun fitness programs for all ages, recently introduced five-minute workouts.
Traci Phillips, Executive Director of the Fun Fitness Foundation, says the workout videos are meant to encourage adults and children alike to create daily fitness goals.
“We are trying to find ways for people to implement workouts throughout their day,” Phillips said.
By creating a collection of these short and easy workouts, the Fun Fitness Foundation hopes that adults will complete one with their co-workers before a meeting, that children can do one with their friends for fun, that families will finish one together after dinner or that teachers can choose one to get the school day started.
The videos focus on different exercises, including yoga, dancing, stretching, cardio and more.
“There’s lots of different ways and options. They can take a look at one of them and choose how to start their day.”
According to Phillips, the Fun Fitness Foundation has more workout ideas in mind. All videos will be posted to the nonprofit’s YouTube.
