BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — The Exhibition Coal Mine and Youth Museum will host a West Virginia Day Celebration on Friday, June 20, 2025, offering a day of family-friendly fun, education, and entertainment. The free event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at New River Park, located at 513 Ewart Avenue.
The celebration will showcase the region’s rich culture and history with live music from local bluegrass family band “Strings of Green,” a variety of vendors, and refreshments for guests to enjoy. Both the Exhibition Mine and Youth Museum will be open for tours throughout the day, with discounted admission rates available.

11:00 a.m. – “Hoot & Holler: WV Owls” presented by the Three Rivers Avian Center

1:00 p.m. – A wildlife presentation by recently retired National Park Ranger Jodi French, focusing on animals native to the New River Gorge region
