PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Local Family Court Judge Adam B. Wolfe pre-filed to seek the seat of Judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court serving Mercer County.
Judge Wolfe was appointed to the bench on September 4th, 2024, by former Governor Jim Justice. Wolfe was elected by the citizens of Mercer and McDowell county to serve as their Family Court Judge for the term beginning in January 2025. Judge Wolfe has presided over hundreds of domestic violence cases, and other family court related matters.
Before coming to the bench, Judge Wolfe practiced law in Mercer County where he helped residents retain their family homes and farms. Prior to that Wolfe was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney where he focused on prosecuting felony crimes committed against children. He also operated his own law firm, worked as an Assistant Public Defender, and served as a Circuit Court Law Clerk for Justice John A. Hutchison

Wolfe has served as a board member and past president of the Concord University Alumni Association, a board member for the Planet X-treme Teen Center, and serves as the current President of the Rotary Club of Princeton. Wolfe also serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster in Boy Scout Troop 1 in Princeton as well as serving on the District Committee for the Mountain Dominion District for Buckskin Council.
Judicial elections will be decided in the primary on May 12th, 2026.
