Father-in-law arrested after striking son-in-law in head with a baseball bat

DAVIN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces charges after striking another man in the head with a baseball bat.

According to WV State Police, a victim stated that his father-in-law, Sheldon Ellis, had gotten into an altercation.  During the fight, Ellis struck his son-in-law in the head with a small baseball bat multiple times.  Ellis became irate when troopers arrived and began shouting at them, resisting arrest.

Ellis was charged with malicious wounding, domestic assault, and obstructing an officer.

He is currently out on bond.
