FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the Fayette County Commission met last week for the Regular Session meeting of the commission.
Wednesday’s extensive agenda included responses to various local entities, as well as a number of board appointments.
One such appointment pertained to the New Haven Public Service District and saw Sharon Light up for appointment as a result of the resignation of Roma Lively.
Light’s appointment to the New Haven PSD Board, for a term which will expire on July 31, 2027, was approved, but not without recognition of Lively’s time and effort with regard to the New Haven PSD.
“I would also like the commission to acknowledge Mr. Lavalley’s length of service with New Haven PSD,” said Commissioner Taylor. “They’ve been there forever. Forty-plus years; that’s some serious service.”
Commission members also seconded and approved a motion for the reappointment of David Smith to Page Kincaid PSD nunc pro tunc – retroactively confirming approval for board service.
