FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mount Lookout man is facing felony charges in Fayette County. Sheriff Mike Fridley provides the following information regarding this incident.
In the evening hours of June 23, 2022, deputies were performing surveillance at a suspected drug location in the areas of Miller Ridge and Sunday Roads in Hico. Deputies then saw an individual known not to have a valid driver’s license get in a vehicle and leave a residence. Deputies then performed a traffic stop on this vehicle. The driver consented to a search of the car after deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies were able to find a large amount of methamphetamines within the car and a small amount of marijuana.
Arvin R. Lucas, 58, of Mount Lookout, is charged with the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine) and the misdemeanor charge of Driving While License Revoked for DUI. Lucas was transported to Southern Regional Jail to await court proceedings.
