FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Hilltop man is facing felony charges in Fayette County. Chief Deputy Rodney Perdue II provides the following information regarding this incident.
Just before 2:00 am. on May 6, 2023, deputies received notice of a physical domestic in the Red Star area of Hilltop. Upon arrival, deputies met with the victim. She stated that she was out with friends when she began receiving texts from her boyfriend that he was going to harm her children, she then returned to the residence where the male began a physical altercation with her, at one point retrieving a firearm, all the while the two infant children were present.
Isaiah E Newsome, 23, of Hilltop, is charged with the felony offenses of Wanton Endangerment (3 counts), Gross Child Neglect Creating Risk of Serious Injury or Death (2 counts), and the misdemeanor offense of Domestic Battery. Newsome was transported to Southern Regional Jail to await court proceedings.
