FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Sewell Mountain man faces felony charges in Fayette County. Sheriff Mike Fridley provides the following information regarding this incident.
In the nighttime hours of February 15, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress on Loops Rd. Upon their arrival, deputies found a cabin and an outbuilding that had been forcefully opened and tracks in the snow leading away from the property, but no individual was found.
On February 16, 2022, deputies received a call from West Virginia State Troopers from Rainelle with information about the above incident. While investigating a separate burglary complaint in a different area, an individual admitted to Troopers that he committed the above-mentioned burglary on Loops Road.
Jason E. Zickafoose, 31, of Sewell Mountain, was charged with the felony offenses of Burglary and Breaking and Entering and the misdemeanor offense of Destruction of Property. Zickafoose was transported to Southern Regional Jail after he failed to post a $50,000 bond.
