FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Hilltop man faces felony charges in Fayette County. Sheriff Mike Fridley provides the following information regarding this incident.
Around noon today, April 30, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a welfare check in Mountaineer Mobile Home Park in Hilltop after two men had been slumped over in a vehicle for over an hour. Upon arrival, deputies found the men and, after several minutes, were finally able to wake the individuals. When the driver stepped out of the vehicle, deputies observed a firearm, large bundles of cash, and what appeared to be a large sum of narcotics.
Philip E. Gray, 38, of Hilltop, was charged with the felony offenses of Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics (2 counts) and Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm. Gray was transported to Southern Regional Jail to await court proceedings.
