FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Fayette County Schools has announced its open house schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, giving students and families an opportunity to meet teachers, tour classrooms and prepare for the start of the new school year.
The schedule includes the following events:
- Midland Trail High School 6th Grade Transition Academy will be held Thursday, July 30, from 5 to 7 p.m.
- New River Primary School will host its open house on Tuesday, Aug. 4, with kindergarten beginning at 4 p.m., first grade at 5:30 p.m., and second grade at 7 p.m.
- Midland Trail High School 9th Grade Freshman Academy is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Oak Hill High School will hold its open house on Thursday, Aug. 6, for freshmen and students in grades 10-12 from 4 to 6 p.m.
- Oak Hill Middle School will host its open house on Monday, Aug. 10, with seventh and eighth grades from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. and sixth grade from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- Fayetteville PK-8 School will welcome students in all grades on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 4 to 6 p.m.
- New River Intermediate School will hold its open house on Tuesday, Aug. 11, with fourth grade from 4 to 5 p.m., third grade from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and fifth grade from 7 to 8 p.m.
- Valley PK-8 School will hold its open house on Tuesday, Aug. 11, with times to be announced.
- Midland Trail Schools will host a combined middle school and high school open house on Aug. 11-12. The middle school open house is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 11, while the high school open house will take place Wednesday, Aug. 12, with activities running from 3 to 5 p.m.
- Meadow Bridge Regional School (K-12) will hold its open house on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 7 p.m.
- Midland Trail Elementary School will announce its open house date and time at a later date.
Students in Fayette County resume classes on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
