LANSING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Department of Highways has announced the temporary closure of Fayette Station Road in New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
The closure will begin on Monday, January 6, and is expected to continue through Friday, March 28, to allow for the redecking of the Tunney Hunsaker Bridge.
During this period, the one-way section on the south side of Fayette Station Road will be completely closed.
However, the north side of the road will remain open, allowing access to Taeys Landing.
Park visitors and local residents are encouraged to check for updates on the closure either through the park’s website or the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve Facebook page.
