FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Fayetteville Police Department is organizing a relief effort to help flood victims in North Carolina, with donations and supplies being accepted to assist affected communities.
Officer Kenny Cullum, who is coordinating the effort, is urging residents to contribute whatever they can to support those in need.
According to Cullum, many of the smaller towns such as Burnsville, Barnardsville, Swannanoa, Black Mountain, Old Fort, Hendersonville, and Lake Lure have received little assistance, as most efforts have been focused on Asheville.
Cullum and a small team plan to travel to these underserved areas sometime next week, though the exact date is yet to be determined.
Donations can be dropped off at two locations: the Fayetteville Police Department at 95 Justice Lane, Fayetteville, WV, or Hilltop Coffee at 497 Mall Road, Suite H, Oak Hill, WV.
For more information, or to ask questions about donations, please contact Officer Cullum at (304) 663-9492.
