FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The eagerly awaited Fayetteville’s First Fridays event is gearing up for its August edition, scheduled for August 4th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Court Street.
The event promises an evening of excitement, featuring a unique pop-up splash pad in the Water Stone Outdoors Parking lot, accompanied by an array of summer treats and engaging activities.
Visitors can look forward to an extended shopping experience as downtown businesses keep their doors open late. The event’s highlight includes a signature program where patrons can acquire a shop card from Enjoyed Again and gather three signatures by making purchases from Fayetteville shops or vendors.
These cards can then be submitted for a chance to win a Fayetteville Gift Card or other prizes.
Fayetteville’s First Fridays, an initiative running from June to September, aims to foster community engagement and provide a platform for local talent.
The event showcases the rich creativity of Fayetteville and its surroundings, with a focus on handmade products. The event’s artisan market gathers vendors, artists, and food trucks on Court Street, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.
A special highlight of the evening will be the “Good News Fayette County” event, commencing at 7:00 pm at the Historic Fayette Theater. Attendees can relish heartwarming stories from community members as they express their appreciation for the locale they call home.
August’s First Friday will feature a wide lineup of vendors, including Paradise Treats, Country Thai, Eleanor Makes, Camp Apage with a hotdog sale, NRG Sweets offering cotton candy and snow cones, and more.
Makers will present their creations, ranging from Stacey Smith’s Recycled River Glass Jewelry to Tim Naylor’s Photography.
The event aims to provide an opportunity for both locals and visitors to enjoy the essence of downtown Fayetteville — a blend of shopping, dining, and exploration.
