HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Summers County man is facing multiple felony charges after officers discovered several firearms inside his home following a domestic disturbance call.
According to authorities, officers responded around noon on April 13, 2026, to a reported verbal domestic incident at a residence on Greenbrier Drive in Hinton.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness who said she had been involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend, Bobby Meador, and was attempting to gather her belongings to leave. She told officers the altercation was not physical but alleged that Meador, whom she said was a convicted felon, had multiple firearms inside the home.
Officers then spoke with Meador, who also described the incident as verbal and claimed he was trying to get Richmond to leave the property. Richmond left the residence without further incident.
During the investigation, Meador admitted to having firearms in the home. A criminal background check later confirmed he had prior felony convictions, including a third-offense DUI conviction in 2003 and a 2010 conviction for delivery of a controlled substance.
Later that evening, deputies executed a search warrant at the residence. During the search, officers recovered a total of six firearms, including handguns, revolvers, and a rifle, along with multiple magazines, holsters, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
Due to his felony convictions, Meador is prohibited from possessing firearms. He is now facing six counts of felon in possession of a firearm.
The incident remains under investigation.
