RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with FEMA, the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the West Virginia Emergency Management Division, is conducting damage assessments across the county today.
Teams from these agencies, including Raleigh County Emergency Services, are part of an Individual Assistance (IA) Joint Preliminary Damage Assessment effort.
Their goal is to evaluate the impact of recent storms on homes and businesses.
Assessment teams will be in marked vehicles or vehicles with emergency lights.
They will take photos and ask residents questions about the extent of the storm damage.
This evaluation will help determine the need for additional disaster assistance in the area.
