BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A fight people a husband and wife over alcohol lands them both in jail.
According to Beckley Police, a domestic call was placed at the Smart Hotel on Harper Road. When police arrived, a female was observed bleeding from her head and hand with a black eye. The female said her husband, Timothy Snowden, had been assaulting her all night and day. He took the car keys and left to buy liquor; when he returned, she dumped the liquor out, causing Snowden to become angry, and he started striking her.
Snowden told police he left to purchase alcohol, which they both had been drinking.
When he returned, he laid down and went to sleep. When he woke up, his wife was beating him. Police noticed that Snowden was bleeding from his ear. Snowden’s wife had to be taken to the hospital and will be charged once released.
Police charged both suspects with domestic battery.
