PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The filing period for those interested in running for City Council in Princeton is now open.
Any person residing within the corporate limits of the City of Princeton who will be at least 18 years of age and a year-long resident of the City by July 1, 2023, and is interested in running for one of the three At-Large seats on Princeton City Council on June 6, 2023, City Election, must circulate and file a nominating petition with the City Clerk between February 1, and April 1, 2023.
Nominating petitions and candidate packets will be available in the City Clerk’s office at the Princeton Municipal Building, 800 Bee Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning February 1, 2023.
A citywide ballot will elect three At-Large Council Members to serve a four-year term on Princeton City Council.
Voter registration at the Mercer County Courthouse will continue through May 16, 2023, for the June 6, 2023, Princeton Election.
