SUMMERSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Emergency units made their way to the Summersville Save A Lot location on Wednesday following reports of a potential working structure fire.
According to the Summersville Fire Department, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, units with the SFD were dispatched to the Save A Lot grocery store. Upon arriving at the scene, responders discovered that a faulty fan motor which had led to a small fire.
Efforts made in extinguishing the fire had been successful, negating the need for further response.
Units 1201, 1202, E21, E23, and R21 responded to the scene, along with Jan-Care Ambulance Service who were called to address any potential injuries as a result of the situation.
While automatic aide had been incoming from the Craigsville, Wilderness, and Richwood Fire Departments, these responses were cancelled upon successful extinguishing of the fire at the Save A Lot location.
