PRESTON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On December 13, 2024, at 12:50 PM, a fire occurred at the WVU J.W. Ruby Research Farm near Reedsville, West Virginia, Preston County.
The fire is believed to have originated in a piece of equipment that was parked in one of the exterior stalls of the horse barn. The fire then spread to the barn causing an estimated $1,000,000 in damages.
State Fire Marshal investigators have ruled this fire accidental. No livestock or persons were injured in the fire.
