MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Firefighters responded early this morning to a structure fire in Mount Hope, finding a single-family home fully engulfed in flames.
According to the Mount Hope Fire Department, crews focused on protecting nearby houses before working to extinguish the fire.
The fire occurred at a residence on Bailey Street. Witnesses tell LOOTPRESS that the home had no residents living in it.
Witnesses who live near the home say they were awoken before sunrise to the sounds of multiple sirens and lights.
The home was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.
The Mount Hope Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from Oak Hill, Pax, and Bradley.
No injuries were reported.
