YADKIN COUNTY, NC (LOOTPRESS) – A man from West Virginia is dead in an apparent murder/suicide case.
On Sunday, January 17, 2021, shortly after 2 pm, emergency crews responded to a 911 hang-up call on North Oak Ridge Church Road in Boonville, NC. When Yadkin County Deputies arrived, they found a female dead from a gunshot wound and a man suffering from a gunshot wound who was transported to a hospital. He remains in critical condition.
Deputies then found a person of interest in the case and later found the suspect’s vehicle at the North Oak Ridge Baptist Church parking lot, where the suspect and another female were found dead.
According to deputies, all the members were related, and they say it was a domestic situation.
Lootpress has learned that the suspect was George Coleman. According to Coleman’s Facebook, he was from Iaeger, WV, of McDowell County. Coleman had married Regina Daye of Yadkin County. Coleman was living in North Carolina at the time, according to his Facebook.
It is alleged that Coleman shot Regina Daye’s mother and father in the home, then drove to the church where he shot and killed his wife, Regina, and then shot himself.
The SBI is assisting Yadkin County Deputies in the investigation. No more details have been released on what may have led to the killings.
