BEAVER, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – Goats are coming to Beaver in a way they never have before. Katelyne Fry, owner of KFit Boutique Fitness, will offer goat yoga classes on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Studies show that goats have a natural bond with people, and yoga instructors agree that goats are the perfect companions for yoga participants.
Fry will be instructing two classes on May 16: one at 2 p.m. for adults only and one at 3 p.m. for adults and children. Both classes will be held outside on the field at the School of Harmony located at 159 Granby Circle in Beaver.
Because the event is outside, 250 people can participate.
During the one-hour class, participants will have the opportunity to perform basic yoga poses in the company of two fainting goats, two pygmy goats and two baby pygmy coats from Cool Ridge.
Fry says she hopes the classes will be a fun but eye-opening experience for the community.
“I am trying to establish a name and recognition in the community for innovative fitness,” the instructor said. “My motto is bringing fun fitness to southern West Virginia. It’s different, and it’s something that is just fun and that everyone in the community can do. It’s just a more modern exercise experience than what Beckley is used to.”

Those looking to participate in the goat yoga classes are required to bring their own yoga mat. Registration is $30.
