WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) – Recent U.S. military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities may have only temporarily set back the country’s nuclear program, according to an early intelligence assessment described by seven individuals familiar with the report.
The assessment, produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), suggests the core components of Iran’s nuclear program were not destroyed and that the strikes likely delayed progress by only a few months.
The findings are based on a battle damage assessment conducted by U.S. Central Command shortly after the operation.
The analysis is ongoing and subject to change as more intelligence becomes available, sources said.
However, the White House forcefully rejected the findings.
In a post on X, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated:
“This alleged ‘assessment’ is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community.
The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program.
Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000 pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration.”
