BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Former Beckley Police Chief Tim Deems is announcing his candidacy for Raleigh County Magistrate. He is excited to offer over 30 years experience in law enforcement to the Office of Magistrate and the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of Raleigh County. If elected, Tim will always follow the West Virginia Constitution and faithfully apply the laws of this state to each case. He will treat everyone who appears before him with dignity, respect and fairness.
As a lifelong resident of Raleigh County, Tim is a graduate of Bluefield State College with a bachelor’s degree and a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He has served Raleigh County as a Deputy Sheriff, Police Officer and Chief of Police in Beckley for over 25 years. After retiring, he worked for the WV Alcohol Beverage Control Administration as the statewide Enforcement Director.
