(LOOTPRESS) – Author Lonnie Mounts announced today that his book titled “You’re It! Book Two, Whiskey Dreams,” has been published and is now available for purchase.
“You’re It!” Book Two – Whiskey Dreams, is the second book in the You’re It! Tetralogy. And the game continues… Book Two finds our main character, Bruce Donner, on the run from the law, his family, and ultimately himself, as his journey brings him to his childhood roots of Roderfield, West Virginia. Only a select few family and friends know who he really is, disguising him as one of the locals, reverting to his childhood nickname of ‘Skip’. As time goes by, Skip becomes overwhelmed by guilt and remorse, constantly dreaming of his life back home in Dandridge, Tennessee, and he turns to the bottle to help him cope… and forget. With the help of his cousin, Robert Lauderback and his childhood best friend, Theresa Rice, he fights an uphill battle of inner turmoil, guilt and alcoholism, hiding from the law and his family back home in Tennessee. He mourns the loss of his friends, family… and the murder of the love of his life that happened on one fatal night in Dandridge, Tennessee. Will he defeat the demons that threaten to take him farther down a darker hole that he is already trying to dig out of… or will he let down his family and friends… and himself… again? Lonnie Mounts was born in West Virginia and has also lived in Tennessee and Georgia He has lived in Pennsylvania since 1984. Lonnie is a 1989 graduate of Northern Lebanon High School. He prides himself on being Southern born, Northern raised and Army Veteran Strong. He started his pursuit of writing while serving in the U.S. Army after some “interesting experiences” and life’s typical ups and downs. His passion is his ability to throw in different scenarios with almost every situation life can throw at you and create suspenseful and dramatic fiction that people love to read. He’s been called the “Blue Collar Author” because his background is not “typical” of most authors. His only goal is to keep you guessing, entertained and wanting more.
After several years and four publishers later, Lonnie was all but ready to walk away from his literary journey after dealing with all of the stress that most publishers put on their authors. Lonnie cancelled all of his contracts and retained the rights to his first two novels, “Doctor’s Orders” and “Twin Deception” and stayed dormant for a few years. But as the years passed by, a story kept developing in his mind that would not stop growing. Driving a Commercial Front Load trash truck for Penn Waste would allow his mind the time he needed to get his creative thoughts flowing again as he worked throughout the day and eventually make their way to paper. Lonnie gave into his desire to put action behind the written word and became an independent author, using Amazon as his publication outlet. His latest book “You’re It!” is now available as ‘Book One, Southern Roots’, with ‘Book Two, Hillbilly Code’, being released this winter, with Book Three to follow, sometime next year.
