MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A former Mercer County Schools wrestling coach and barber shop owner has been arrested on multiple sex crimes.
According to the West Virginia Regional Jail Authority, 39-year-old Travis Jermaine Francisco has been arrested on seven counts of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.
The charges stem from a sexual relationship between Francisco and a student at Princeton Senior High School, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint details five separate events where sexual acts took place between Francisco and the victim including incidents at Princeton Senior High School, his barber shop in Princeton, a hotel in Wise, VA, and a hotel in Summersville, WV,
Francisco was the head wrestling coach at Princeton Senior High School up until today, February 4.
The Mercer County Board of Education met in a special session Tuesday morning and voted to terminate Francisco’s employment with the school district.
Francisco is also the owner of Royal Fades Barber Shop in Princeton.
Francisco remains at Southern Regional Jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
