MINGO COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A former school secretary in Mingo County has been arrested following an investigation into missing funds.
According to the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office, Angela Fleming was arrested by West Virginia State Police on warrants issued Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
Fleming is charged with two misdemeanor counts of embezzlement and one count of computer fraud.
The sheriff’s office said the charges stem from an investigation involving missing funds while Fleming was employed as the secretary at Burch PreK-8.
According to magistrate court records, Fleming has been released on bond.
The sheriff’s office reminds the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
