BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One person was shot on Thursday in an incident which remains under investigation.
Sheriff Canaday of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office reports that, at approximately 11:40pm on the night of Thursday, July 4, 2024, Raleigh County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Hedrick Street residence with regard to reports of a shooting.
One as of yet unnamed individual was confirmed to have sustained an injury as a result of a gunshot. The victim was reportedly treated at a local hospital for what are said to be non-life threatening injuries.
An arrest has yet to be made in connection with the incident and authorities indicate that the situation is still under investigation by members of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.
