FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Fayette County Park has announced the date of their upcoming Trout Fishing Derby event, while will be geared toward young anglers.
The annual derby, in which participants ages 3-14 will be able to partake free of charge, will be held at Fayette County Park, and will take place from 8:30am – 2:00pm.
Registration will be held the day of the event, Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 8:30am to 11:30am.
Participants will be divided into three separate groups by age, each with their own starting time for the event.
Derby participants ages 3-5 will partake from 9:00am – 9:45am, while the 6-10 age group’s runtime will go 10:00am – 11:15am.
Participant ages 11-14 will begin at 11:30am  and wrap up at 12:45am. Participants should register half an hour before the allotted start time for their age group.
It is requested that those planning to participate in the derby show up with their own bait and fishing poles, as these items will not be provided at the event itself.
