Beckley – The newly revamped Coalfield Conference held its inaugural media day Tuesday at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center. The event allowed the once nearly defunct conference an opportunity to introduce new members – many from its new Class AAA division – while also allowing coaches and athletes from all fall sports an opportunity to meet with the media in one place ahead of the season.
Available at the event were representatives from members schools Greenbrier West, James Monroe, Meadow Bridge, Midland Trail, Richwood, Summers County, Independence, Liberty, Nicholas County, PikeView, Shady Spring, Westside, Wyoming East, Greenbrier East, Oak Hill, Princeton and Beckley.
