Athens – Concord and Glenville State split a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon in Athens.
The host Mountain Lions took the opening game 1-0, winning on a walkoff in the bottom of the ninth inning. Wyoming East graduate and Glenville State pitcher Holley Brehm took the loss despite scattering four hits and striking out 11 batters.
Rachael Koller’s fielder’s choice scored the winning run while Nancy-Jo Roberts earned the win in the circle.
The Pioneers took the second game of the day 8-3, scoring in each of the first four innings.
