Beckley – Friday, the Edna Mae-John Phillips Female Athlete Awards for each sport were given out at Woodrow Wilson High School.
The awards are given out annually at the school to the top female athlete, recognized by the Beckley Area Foundation. Elysia Salon received the Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award for her accomplishments in tennis and volleyball.
