Sylas Nelson scored four touchdowns as Independence rolled to a 52-28 victory over Mingo Central Friday night in Coal City.
The Patriots rolled up 564 yards of total offense in the win. Quarterback Brock Green completed 12 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown while Nelson rushed for 272 yards in the win.
Independence (5-2) hosts Princeton (7-0) next week.
