Wyoming East 8, Princeton 4
Princeton – Paige Laxton, Savannah Brehm and Olivia Hylton all went yard Thursday as Wyoming East picked up its first win of the season with an 8-4 victory at Princeton.
Brehm opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning, the first of her career.
The floodgates opened in the fifth with Laxton and Hylton tacking on runs, helping East jump to an 8-0 lead.
Kayley Bane and Maddie Clark finished with multi-hit games, both going 2 for 4 with Bane driving in a run. Alivia Monroe added a double. Abigail Jenkins led Princeton with a home run and two RBIs.
Hylton finished with 11 strikeouts for East.
The Lady Warriors improve to 1-1 and will host Nicholas County on Friday.
