ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The violation of a “no trespass” order has led to charges being brought against a Randolph County man.
According to Deputy Pingley of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, Deputy Pingley responded to the Elkins Speedway on Harrison Avenue in reference to an active trespassing complaint.
Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Pingley was advised by the store clerk that Nevan Himes – against whom there was an active “no trespass” order at the location – was again trespassing on the property and had refused an order to leave.
It was advised that Himes had eventually left the location prior to the arrival of law enforcement after entering a vehicle.
Deputy photographed the “no trespass” order served against Himes by Elkins City Police for documentation.
On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, a complaint of criminal trespassing was filed against Himes a presented before a magistrate. Later, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Himes was arrested at the Four Season Hotel without incident before being transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
