The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a third year.
Below are the candidates for the second full week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Saturday, Dec. 28 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here
In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.
- Preslee Treadway, Greenbrier West – Scored 27 with 12 rebounds in an overtime win against Summit.
- Ella Botts, Summit Christian – Averaged 26 points per game across four contests.
- Maggie Boroski, James Monroe – Averaged 22.5 ppg, eclipsing 1,000 for her career.
- Karsyn Payner, Westside – Averaged 11.3 ppg for the Renegades across three games.
- Haley Justice, PikeView – Averaged 12.6 ppg for the Panthers across three games.
- Josie Cross, Beckley – Cross led the Flying Eagles with scoring performances of 18, 14 and 24 points across three games.
- Abi Baker, Wyoming East – Averaged 15.6 ppg, scoring 21 and 20 against top 10 foes Logan and Mingo Central.
- Avery Lilly, Summers County – Lilly averaged 14.5 ppg for the Lady Bobcats, helping them secure the Rogers Oil Classic title.
- Chasity Kennedy, River View – Kennedy averaged 20.6 ppg and eight rebounds across three games for the Raiders.
- Harmony Mills, Independence – Mills scored 31 to lead Indy past Liberty.
- Ava Workman, Greenbrier East – Workman needed 23 points in a road win at Beckley.
