The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a third year.
Below are the candidates for the fifth full week of the girls basketball season.
Voting will close Friday, Jan. 31 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here

- Maggie Boroski, James Monroe – Boroski scored 26 points twice, helping the Mavericks to a 4-0 week in the region with wins over Wyoming East, Mingo, Summers and Midland Trail.
- Cadee Blackburn, Wyoming East – Blackburn averaged 18 ppg during a 1-1 week for the Lady Warriors.
- Ella Botts, Summit – Botts crossed the 30 point threshold twice for Summit.
- Karsyn Paynter, Westside – Paynter scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a win.
- Leah Adkins, Greater Beckley – Adkins netted 26 points in a win for the Crusaders over Montcalm.
- Abby Dillon, Beckley – Dillon scored 20 twice, hitting the game-winning basket in a victory over PikeView.
- Addy Isaacs, Oak Hill – Isaacs scored 23 points to go over 1,000 for her career in a loss to GW.
- Ava Workman, Greenbrier East – Workman scored 20 points per game including 18 in a win over previously undefeated Hurricane.
- Kierston Rozell, Meadow Bridge – Rozell scored 26 points in a win for Meadow bridge.
- Acasia Bledsoe, Mount hope Christian – Bledsoe scored 24 in a win for Mount Hope.
