Fairlea – George Washington opened the season with a 66-46 win on the road over Greenbrier East Monday night.
Finley Lohan led three Patriots in double figures with 22 points. Zaniah Zellous scored 17 points and Jeriyah Pryor had 16 points.
George Washington outscored the Spartans 24-7 on points off turnovers to create the separation.
Ava Workman led Greenbrier East (3-1) with 14 points and Jada Waller added 10. Kennedy Stewart grabbed nine rebounds.
