Harmony Mills recorded a double-double, while Kamryn Wooton scored nine points and had 11 rebounds to lead Independence past Meadow Bridge 49-42 Thursday in Coal City.
Mills ended the game with a game-high 19 points, including 10 in the decisive fourth quarter, and pulled down 10 rebounds.
Makaila Bolen and Alli Hypes each added six point for the Patriots who travel to Richwood Monday.
Kierston Rozell scored 11 for the Wildcats, while Charity Reichard added nine and Riley Roberts scored eight.
Meadow Bridge travels to Van Friday.
