Greenbrier East 72, Moorefield 54
Ahead of her college signing ceremony, Greenbrier East senior Cadence Stewart dazzled with a 27-point performance as the Spartans downed Moorefield 72-54 Thursday in Moorefield.
Stewart canned seven 3s in the win, connecting on 10 of 20 field goal attempts overall.
Her younger sister Kennedy pitched in 19 points in the win while Makenna McClure netted 10.
McKenna Crites led Moorefield with 19 points in the loss.
James Monroe 86, Pocahontas County 23
Lindside – James Monroe jumped out to a 24-3 lead on senior night and never looked back, beating Pocahontas County 86-23 in Lindisde.
Maggie Boroski led the Mavs with 24 points while Adyson Hines netted 22. Ava Dunlap added 14 while Mary Beth Meadows was good for 11.
Olivia Vandevender led Pocahontas County with six points in the loss.
James Monroe finishes the regular season at 17-5 and will host River View in the sectional championship on Wednesday.
