Hico – Midland Trail took a nine point lead after the first quarter and made it stand in a 39-32 win over Shady Spring Thursday.
Raelyn Morris led the Patriots with 13 points, while Kenzie Chaffin added 10 points and Rumor Barnhouse scored eight. Chaffin had a double-double with 15 rebounds and Hall had five. Barnhouse and Morris had four steals each.
Kendra Pizzino led the Tigers with a game-high 15 points.
