Chapmanville – The Lady Tigers exploded for 29 points in the third quarter en route to a 62-34 win over Summers County in their Class AA Region 3 co-final battle Wednesday.
Alaira Evans led all scorers with 22 points for Chapmanville with 16 points coming in the third period. Jaiden Mahon had 17 points and Daizi Farley scored 18 points. Mahon had 11 in the third quarter.
Grace Harvey paced the Lady Bobcats with 13 points and Abby Persinger scored 11.
Chapmanville is the No. 5 seed in the AA bracket and will play No. 4 seed Ravenswood at 9 p.m. Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the girls state tournament.
