Charleston – Wheeling Park outscored Jefferson 25-6 in the opening quarter of a Class AAAA semifinal matchup, waltzing to a 70-19 Thursday morning in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
Freshman Alexis Bordas led the charge for the Patriots, scoring 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Lola Woods added 14 points and Natalie Daughtery 13.
Taliyah Lindsey was Jefferson’s leading scorer with six points.
The semifinal appearance is the first for Wheeling Park since 2018.
